Delete your account
Tradespeople: delete your Graftr HQ account
How: open Graftr HQ, go to Profile, then Account and help, then Delete my account, read the short summary, and press Delete my account. We ask you to confirm twice. You can also email privacy@graftrhq.com from your sign-up address.
Before you delete
- Your public page, posts, photos, videos and Discover items are removed at once.
- You are signed out of all devices, and push notifications stop.
- Your card on file for fees is removed from our records (and we ask Stripe to detach it).
- Unpaid fees for jobs you completed are still due and will be taken from your card on the next collection date (the 15th or the last day of the month), whatever the amount, before the card is removed. If the card fails, we may contact you.
- Any jobs booked for the future need handling first. We will ask you to finish or cancel them so customers are not left waiting. Customers will be told if a job is cancelled.
- Your Stripe account for card payments belongs to Stripe. Closing Graftr does not close Stripe. Stripe will keep records it must keep.
- Customer information that you received for jobs belongs to you as a business with your own legal duties (tax, insurance). Ask us for a copy first: use Profile, then Account and help, then Help and support.
What we delete
Your login, name, email, phone, business page, photos, videos, captions, price list, push tokens, notification settings, your drafts and notes, and personal data about customers that was only held for you (once no longer needed for the records below).
What we must or may keep, and for how long
| Kept | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Fee records: jobs, fee amounts, collections, ledger, VAT information | Tax and accounting law | 6 years after the end of the relevant tax year |
| Invoices and payment records you issued, with customer names as written on them | Tax law; customers' rights to a record | 6 years |
| Quote acceptance records (customer name, time, IP address, device, terms version) | Evidence in a dispute | 6 years from the job |
| Reviews customers wrote about you | Customers' content, and our fake-review records; no longer public and no longer naming your business | Up to 6 years in our records |
| Reports and moderation records | Safety, legal claims | 6 years if serious, otherwise 12 months |
| Security and audit log entries | Fraud prevention | 12 months |
| Waiting list or marketing opt-out lists (so we do not contact you again) | Law | As long as needed |
Anything we keep is limited to those purposes. Deleted data may stay in encrypted backups for up to 35 days.
How long it takes
The app closes your account straight away (public page gone, signed out). The rest is cleared within 30 days and we email you when it is done.
Customers: seeing or deleting your details
You do not have an account. To see, correct or delete your details, email privacy@graftrhq.com from the address you used. See help and your data. We will check it is you, and reply within one month. Details already given to a tradesperson for a booked job are held by that tradesperson too; we will pass your request on and tell you who they are. We delete your unbooked enquiries (name, email, phone, address, photos, video) and keep only what the law requires (see the privacy notice).
